Give to Ukraine

For the past few weeks, the Ukrainian National Home (UNH) of Hartford has been accepting and packing thousands of donated items that are needed in their homeland as it continues to resist a Russian invasion. 596Ukrainian civilians have been killed in the fighting according to the United Nations and approximately 2.8 million people have had to leave their homes. On Saturday, volunteers (including Natalie Korzhneva and Irina Bezsonova, above) gathered at the UNH to pack up the last of the donated items, which filled four large containers. Donations ranged from non-perishable foods and medical supplies to stuffed animals. UNH is no longer accepting donated items at this time, But monetary donations are still needed to pay the cost of shipping.
